Charity Tuesday
Charity Tuesday
January 17, 2023 10:30 am - 2:30 pm
Many hands make light work. Come help us put together quilt kits to send to Honduras. One Common Thread (OCT) is a charitable organization that gives women living in extreme poverty in the slums of Honduras an opportunity to earn money to support themselves and their families. We need help counting out fabric squares to put kits together that are then sent to OCT to be taken to Honduras. If you can spare a few hours a month we can make a lasting difference in the lives of these women and help break the cycle of poverty for them. We can't help everyone but together we can help as many as possible!
Feel free to come for the entire 4 hours or just a few hours. Any help is appreciated.
We encourage you to check out the website https://onecommonthread.org to get all the details and to see the beautiful faces of these women.

Meet the designer night
Meet the designer night
January 27, 2023 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Come meet Julia Deal from and Mary Ann Sprague, our newest local designers. Sign-up is required due to the limited space available.
Julia Deal / SEW Artistic Fiber Art Gallery
Julia learned to crochet from one grandmother, and knit from the other before the age of 8. From age 8- 16 she lived in Hong Kong, walking distance from “Fabric Alley”. With a good start from a neighbor, Julia learned to draft her own clothing patterns, and kept copious notes. Since the TBI in 2019 she has been working to recover her former level of productivity & enjoyment of sewing. Julia & Mary Ann have been pattern co-authors since 2016.
SEW Artistic Workshop & Classroom is at Piano Works Mall inside Central Creatives on the 2nd Floor.
Mary Ann Sprague / Mary Ann’s Makings
Mary Ann Sprague learned sewing from her mother in 4-H and crocheting from her grandmother when she was 8. She is always working on numerous projects, either following patterns, or creating something new. Her quilting took off after she learned to free-motion quilt on her Singer Featherweight, and most recently when she and Julia began designing quilt patterns together.
